The South Bay is located at the southwest peninsula of Los Angeles County, California and is names because it covers the beaches along the southern shores of Santa Monica Bay. Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, the Palos Verdes Peninsula are all cities part of the South Bay. These beach cities that are south of the L.A. International Airport all feature dazzling ocean view properties and quiet suburban neighborhoods with a variety of vintage, mid-century, and modern. The South bay is also one of the most diverse areas with an even distribution of all ethnicities.

Manhattan Beach also now has one the most expensive real estate prices in the United States. Manhattan, Hermosa, and Redondo Beaches used to be sleepy bedroom communities with large municipal piers and charming Downtown business districts. With the redevelopment of all three cities, both housing density and prices rose over the last thirty years. Stunning beach front homes on the sand line, the Strand, runs along the ocean for five miles from Manhattan to Hermosa Beach, allowing you the true California lifestyle.

The Palos Verdes Peninsula also hosts some of the most expensive real estate in the United States andincludes Rolling Hills, Rolling Hills Estates, Rancho Palos Verdes, and Palos Verdes Estates. The Peninsula really began to develop after it was bought by Frank Vanderlip. Vanderlip hired the Olmsted Brothers, whose father designed Manhattan’s Central park, to help design and plan the communities. Even to these days, stringent architecture and development regulations are in place to preserve thegorgeous natural landscapes.
